Thanks to the use of natural, sweat-absorbing materials, the pad as a whole is not washable. However, similar to classic western pads, you can clean the top surface with a sponge and a little water and brush out the underside regularly. A lambskin brush is particularly suitable for the underside. We recommend removing the memory foam inserts before using water.

No, very round-backed, massive horses with a lot of back muscle definitely don’t need it. However, practical experience has also shown positive effects with these horses – and the pad is of course stylish in any case.

Horses with sensitive backs, soft connective tissue or horses with holes behind the shoulders – due to muscle atrophy or their conformation – usually benefit greatly from the Equisensomotoric® Pad, which is often immediately noticeable in softer gaits and more back activity.

Due to the need to free the horse’s shoulders and increase shock absorption, the Equisensomotoric® pad is higher than conventional saddle pads. This special layer structure is one of the reasons why the pad is so effective. Visually, it looks higher when saddling up, but after sitting in and girthing up, you don’t feel much higher than usual, but you sit as soft as a cloud and on a horse that is allowed maximum shoulder freedom.

No. The pressure peaks are somewhat reduced, but for optimum pressure distribution you need a saddle tree with a curve and panel shape that suits your horse’s back.

If you are not sure whether your saddle tree fits your horse, the first thing you should do is contact your local saddler.
If you don’t get any further with your saddler, a saddle pressure measurement with a gel measuring mat such as the Port Lewis Impression Pad is highly recommended.
